Offshore Systems Ltd. (OSL) designs, develops and markets the ECPINS® line of electronic chart navigation instruments. ECPINS® is Electronic Chart Precise Integrated Navigation System capable of continuously determining a vessel's position in relation to land, charted objects, aids-to-navigation and unseen hazards. OSL is committed to providing its customers with the best electronic navigation technology in the world. The Offshore Team takes pride in giving the mariner an ECPINS® that is a valuable navigation aid in diverse marine conditions.
OSL's head office is in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and is the base for worldwide sales of ECPINS®. There are two additional OSL offices. The Maryland office services ECPINS® government customers in the U.S. and Canada. The Montreal office takes care of our extensive customer base in the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway and the East Coast of the U.S.A.
Offshore Charts Ltd. - OCL
In April of 1998, the Data Development Department at OSL became a fully owned subsidiary, Offshore Charts Limited (OCL). OCL’s experience in geomatics ranges from pioneering the technology of electronic charts in the 1980’s to assisting hydrographic offices in the production of official electronic chart datasets today.
OCL has two goals. The first is to continue to produce electronic chart data for government agencies. The second is to serve ECDIS users with a one-stop shopping concept for electronic chart data.
Our one-stop shopping concept means that, through agreements with various hydrographic offices around the world, we are able to provide official data in a variety of formats to suit a customer’s needs. This also includes the tracking and distribution of updates that accompany the official data.
